To achieve the desired brew amount, users can adjust the water volume, while a water valve with built-in flow control supplies water pressurized between 20 and 90 PSI. The spray head design sprays water over the coffee grounds evenly, saturating the grounds to retain rich flavor. Its thermostat uses a stainless steel sensing bulb to gauge water temperature accurately for consistent results. Once water reaches the set temperature, the ready-to-brew light alerts the operator.

To ensure multiple decanters are warm for serving, the Bloomfield 8573D3 decanter brewer features three warming stations with porcelain-enameled water plates. These plates secure decanters in place without scratching or scraping the bottoms of the units. The right side's top level saves counterspace while accommodating an additional decanter. Being made of durable stainless steel, it resists rust and corrosion and is simple to clean. Overall, this unit measures 16¹⁄₄ inches wide by 16¹³⁄₁₆ inches deep by 16⁷⁄₈ inches high.
