Wega was founded in 1985 as CMA Group's coffee machine division, based in the Venice area of Italy, and reached roughly 25% market share in Italy at its peak, known for stylish, compact commercial machines like the IO. Wega is part of the Ryoma Holding Company family of Italian espresso manufacturers, alongside Astoria, Storm, and Macap.
